Product Overview:
The Medasil Needle Mat provides a safe, secure surface for the temporary storage and counting of used needles and blades during surgical procedures. The strong adhesive immobilises sharps at low pressure, reducing the risk of needlestick injury to theatre staff during the procedure and disposal phases.
The pad measures 150mm x 120mm with a 4mm PVA foam layer coloured pale yellow for high contrast. Half the foam area features a strong adhesive, initially protected by a cover film. Two integral perforated fold lines guide clean, accurate closure after the final instrument count. Once sealed, the pad holds contents securely for safe transit and disposal. Sterile. Single use. Available in boxes of 50 or cases of 300.
Important: Do not reposition sharps once placed on the pad. Do not rest hypodermic needles on the pad if they will be re-used as foam may enter the needle. Close and seal the pad only once at the end of the procedure.
